Dundas Tigers trade their bats for ringette sticks
The Dundas Tigers challenged the Flamborough Flyers to a friendly game of ringette at Greensville public school.
The Flyers is a team of developmentally delayed adults and tweens which is a member of the Canadian Special Olympics program. This affiliation gives them access to resources and occasional funding but the real goal is to have fun. Coach Casey Duffy has been coaching the Flyers team for over 30 years, giving the players a chance to socialize and be active.
The Flyers play against different community group teams each week. We are looking forward to bringing the Tigers team back for a rematch later this winter!
