FAQs

When is registration for the 2020 summer season?

OPEN NOW!!

What division will I be in?

T-ball is ages 4-6. Coach Pitch is 7-8. Minor is 9-10. Major is 11-12. Age is as of September 1st. Please review the age chart at this link to determine your division: https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/baseball-age-chart/

Can I request moving to a different division?

All players undergo an evaluation in April to help balance teams and divisions. If it is deemed necessary to move a player due to their skill set and in the name of safety, the Convenor and Player Agent can consult with the parents to determine the best fit. There must be space available for the move to happen and no other player will be negatively impacted to support such a move.

Can I request playing with a certain teammate or coach?

All requests will be reviewed and dealt with on a case by case basis. We make no promises that we can accommodate these requests. In the best interests of fair play and balance to the teams, we can reject such a request. Remember, Little League is about fun, and meeting new friends. Most of the games and practices happen at the same time and field, so you will see them all summer anyway!

What nights does each division play?

T-ball – Mon/Wed; Coach Pitch – Tues/Thurs/Sat; Minor – Mon/Wed/Fri; Major – Tues/Thurs/Sat

How long is the season?

Dundas Little League begins play in May and runs until late August

When is Opening Day?

Tentatively our opening celebration is scheduled for May 9th, 2020. More information to follow!

When will the Schedule be out?

The schedule is pre-built and ready to go once we have the teams set in place. Registration is now open and evaluations to determine the teams is in late April. Once the teams are built, the schedule will be released.

What times do games officially start?

Tball begins at 6pm with their combined practice/games. All other divisions have a start time of 6:15pm for games. That means first pitch should be thrown at 6:15pm. Warm-ups can occur before that time and coaches may ask players to arrive earlier. Practice times are 6pm for most.

When does All-Star begin?

Little League Canada is very concise on their rules for the All-Star program. No try-outs can begin to determine the All-Star teams until June 1st, 2020. At that point, there must be 3 tryouts available for anyone to attend before a team is decided. Tournaments can begin almost immediately in some instances.

I am looking to help but cannot commit to full time helping, what can I do?

First of all, we want to thank you for being interested in helping at all. We are always in need of more volunteers. Currently we have a few openings on our Board and Executive that do not require as much attention as you would expect. We also can use help in assistant coaches, those who may be able to only help once in awhile. We also look for help in our concession stands helping to fund the league and keep the players/parents hydrated. Lastly, we have 3 major tournament weekends near the end of the year that we ALWAYS are looking for more help with. Please feel free to contact us with anything that you can do!
