Hello parents, players, and volunteers.

The New Board and Executive

During our Annual General Meeting, the 2021 Board and Executive were elected. They will continue the dedicated efforts of the prior Board and Executive. After making the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 season, we have been busy preparing for a new season in 2021 that we are all looking forward to. Thank you to everyone that expressed your ongoing support and understanding in the decisions we made last season.

We could use your help.

If you have time to dedicate to the League, we can find a role for you that fits. Our volunteers help keep our costs reasonable and more importantly, their effort and innovation improve the baseball experience for the players and parents.

Beyond our expected League needs through the Board and coaching, we have committees working on pandemic protocols; facility improvements; and the 2022 Minor District tournament we are hosting to name just a few. Even a few hours a season helps. Please reach out.

2021 Season Registration

Online registration for the 2021 House League program will be available starting November 15th, 2020. Fees for 2021 have been frozen at the 2020 level until January 15th, 2021 as a thank you to the community (Major and Minor $225.00/ T-Ball and Coach Pitch $195.00). After that date, the rates will transition to $249.00/$219.00

We know 2020 continues to be a challenging year and sports organizations need to find ways to manage their leagues amid the pandemic. Our Board will guarantee refunding your entire registration fee if we cancel the 2021 season prior to our scheduled Opening Day ceremonies in early May 2021.

So why register early? We are planning to provide an enjoyable 2021 season with no restrictions or limitations. However, given the ongoing COVID-19 situation we can’t ignore that current or new limits will be mandated. We may be restricted in the number of players we can accommodate for the 2021 season. Take advantage of the early bird registration to avoid any potential disappointment should player limits be required. Early registration numbers in the winter allow us to start creating a League schedule; secure sponsorship support; maintain diamond time; and order needed supplies so they are ready for opening day. Lastly, you can save a few bucks.

What’s New for 2021

Little League Canada meets regularly and at their most recent roundtable one of the new rules implemented for the upcoming season will impact players intending on playing select baseball within our League. Little League organizations can no longer support in teams hoping to play exhibition or tournament games involving the Ontario Baseball Associations. This is a Little League Canada decision and we will comply in order to ensure our Little League Charter is not revoked. All programs including Ancaster Little League will be required to comply. The change has already prompted active discussions to create more tournament play within the Little League program across Canada. There are approximately 40 Little League tournaments throughout Ontario already identified.

COVID-19 Pandemic

While we are uncertain as to what the status of the pandemic will be in the new year, please be assured that the Board and Executive continue their commitment to provide a safe program for players, fans, and volunteers. We continue to monitor the developments and we will ensure that prior to the start of any 2021 baseball activities, Dundas Little League will be in full compliance with all the required COVID-19 protocols mandated by our government and Health professionals.

Stay healthy and safe and continue to take care of one another.
