April Update

Dear Dundas Little League Families,

I hope this email finds you well and you are continuing to stay safe during this third wave of the pandemic.   We are optimistic and continue planning toward a Little League season for this summer.   Despite the uncertainty regarding any potential restrictions, Dundas Little League is committed to delivering a program to the full extent of what is permitted within the government framework.    If you have already registered for the 2021 season, THANK YOU!   For those who may not have, you can still register on line at www.dundaslittleleague.com .

As long as we are permitted to be on the field, Dundas Little League is working toward two possible scenarios:

Scenario One

We will run a full program of both practices and games similar to previous years. Games may have slightly modified rules to incorporate Covid-19 protocols, but the program will be similar to past years.

Scenario Two

If games are not allowed due to physical distancing measures still being in place, Dundas Little League will revert to a clinic format where all age groups will still be able to get to the field and participate in fun and engaging technical development.     Practice sessions will continue throughout the summer with games commencing when permitted.

Opening Day ceremonies for May 8th will be postponed and the Board is looking into different alternatives that will not involve such a large group gathering together.   Our refund guarantee remains in effect until we have a better sense of when we can start up with a season.

The Board continues to monitor the situation closely and has several contingency plans in place.    The goal is to be ready to play baseball this year when it’s deemed safe enough to do so.     Please check the website for updates and in the meantime, let’s all continue to contribute to our community’s safety by staying home if we can.
